Community Work Society
Co-operative Ltd.

Australia’s oldest co-op for makers

Established in 1979, WORCO is one of Australia’s longest running cooperatives. It provides serviced workspaces to assist both new and established small enterprises that are engaged in rare, heritage and traditional crafts and trades, as well as designer-makers.

The independent, member-driven collective fosters individual, independent, enterprises to thrive – within a supportive community that respects effort and excellence. Members also benefit from the wealth of technical and business know-how and complementary skills of fellow members – several of whom have received individual industry accolades.

Current members include services and trades such as blacksmithing, furniture design and making, cabinetmaking, lead-lighting, steel fabrication, musical instrument making, toolmaking, custom lighting, and woodturning.

More about our members.

Worco would like to acknowledge the First Nations people of this nation. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri, Woi-wurrung people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our company is located and where we conduct our business. We pay our respects to Ancestors and Elders, past, present and emerging.

Worco is committed to honouring First Nations peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and are committed to a positive more inclusive future.
